Sidewing
The Sidewing concept offers has phenomenal aerodynamic, economic and safety features. hegge ID was approached by a network supplier to contribute specific PDCPD injection moulding knowledge and capacity for this highly innovative project. Within a short time the project was guided through design, pre-engineering, detail engineering to prototyping, preproduction and production. Compliance with the pre-determined timeline was essential. A combination of functional features, like pivoting and locking systems, were engineered and tested, ultimately resulting in a durable lightweight skirt system that offers substantial environmental, economic and safety benefits.
