Water Carafe
The Sustainable Water Carafe project began as a design competition entry. The initiator, Limburg.net (Belgium), invited several designers to create a water carafe that would encourage tap water consumption in the region. Out of six entries, the hegge ID design was selected. In our opinion, the carafe should be both a practical object as well as a desirable object for consumers of different ages. Following a target group scan and study on drinking times throughout the day, the idea of a two-piece set was born. The numerous water towers that adorn the Limburg skyline inspired us to give the carafe its iconic shape. After prototyping and taking care of all graphics, packaging design and production preparation, the carafe was produced in Thailand.
